Talking Therapies (previously IAPT)

Talking Therapies is an NHS primary care service which offers a free and confidential service for people who are 18 + years of age.

Talking Therapies provides talking therapies for people who are experiencing:  panic attacks, depression, anxiety, excessive worry, social anxiety/shyness, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, health anxiety, stress, bereavement.

You can refer yourself by calling the telephone number below or if you prefer you can self refer online by visiting the website.

If you need help immediately, you can call the NELFT Mental Health Direct telephone helpline for help and advice, anytime of the day or night on 0300 555 1000.

The Hope Wing – Eating Disorder Service

If your child has an eating disorder, you and your child can get support from the Eating Disorder Service, which will provide psychological advice, dietitian support and medical assessment and support.

Referrals must come through your doctor or a medical professional such as a school nurse.
